It was 2001, I was listening to the radio and I only really cared because I was interested in grabbing a recording of the new song by Blue entitled All Rise, when this very interesting DJ comes on - and honestly I cannot remember - for the life of me - what the topic was - but I remember her voice was enchanting and I knew I was going to tune in every Thursday night just to listen to her talk about boy bands and what's new in the music scene.
Every time I open a new podcast to listen to - that same memory plays in my head - and I get excited to listen to people talk about things that they're passionate about. Whether it be movies, true crime, stories, or video games - there's always something about listening to a person talk about what they're passionate about that draws me right in.
When I started my podcast, I had no idea what was expected of me. I decided that the best way for me to actually do anything first was to do a whole bunch of research! So using my social media skills - I followed a lot of indie podcasts. Podcasters who were doing the same thing I was intending to do - but have a lot of experience already.
It opened up such a wonderful world for me - and since this whole podcast of mine is meant to share my adventures - I figured this would be a wonderful opportunity to share this very adventure with my listeners too, am I right?
What can you expect from me?
I will be going through different indie podcasts that I can find and will be listening to it and sharing it with anyone interested in listening! This way, we can all find new indie podcasts to appreciate together. My main goal is to bring more attention to different podcasts.
I mean, I've received so much joy from listening to them - how could I be selfish and not share them to you?
